Fariñas Ilocos Empanada opened its first branch in December 2011 by Brian Fariñas, his wife Hazel, and their 3 children. Born and raised in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Brian grew up fond of Ilokano cuisine. His love and passion for his hometown and its food were also reciprocated by his family, which is why they decided to bring to Metro Manila one of the most sought after delicacies in Ilocos–the Ilocos Empanada.
